Dear Bruce,
I did not say Jinma is not good.
I only said " fibreglass hood is not strong enough" & " Jinma is still a fresh tractor brand to most Chinese farmers ".
I am also selling some Jinma tractors now.
So that I can not say my Jinma is not good & I do not want to offend Jinma Tractor plant. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Your question:
But wonder why other models are not advertised more to the US residents if they are more reliable units.
Because:
1. Other Chinese tractor plants are of state-own (state-run); while Jinma tractor plant is a sharehold (private-own) plant.
2. In China, state-run companies have more disadvantages (defects) compared with those sharehold (private-own)companies, something like misgoverning, bureaucracy, conservatism, unenlightened, corruption, lacking of management; ....
3. Jinma have a very smart marketing stratege in USA markets ! They grasped the needs of USA markets. Just as Slowrev said :" In USA smaller tractor is quite often used as lawnmower ", so that for Chinese tractors in USA, " cheaper " is better than "durable" !
4.Jinma did the technical & the hood modifications on their tractors according the American customers' feedback or requirements much quicker than other tractor plants.
5. Frankly speaking, maybe Jinma's quality is not the best among all Chinese tractors, but Jinma tractor's appearance(looking) is the most attractive to Americans.
6. I am a Chinese in China. I am coming here to find the solution to EPA issue. Maybe I should not say that much about our national system or management. But the truth is that Jinma becomes the most famous Chinese tractor brand in USA in the passed short years. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
