Naw. Every forum has it's kibitzers, this one is no exception. It's just a matter of ignoring them, and getting on with the topic at hand.

don't worry about the ornge guy saying they polute, in fact my Jinma burns cleaner than any of the local lown mowers I see close to me. (not a sign of smoke even under good load.) It may have a bit higher NOX but I like the smell of diesel in the morning /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'll be keeping a good eye on the thread and watching to see if I can help out anymore...

Terry @ TO in OR has always been given a great review by anyone who delt with him and seems to be a nice guy, I spoke to him years back prior to getting in my own tractor load.

I realize every site is going to have them and most of the time I ignore them. I felt his comment was out of line. I do remember on another site you and Chief got into a bit of a discussion.

I recall that as well Mark. But I make a distinction between those who habitually interject with the SOS, and those who try to hijack a thread in pursuit of their own agenda.

Re: HELP ME !!! EPA issue in FLORIDA ! *DELETED*

Florida's Questions:

Thanks for the email on the TPEM program, I read two parts that I thought could work for us.

#1 section C can Jinma use the 200 pieces of equipment without engines being certified?
Have they already used up this exemption?TEPA knows that Jinma has imported a large amount of engines, maybe we can say it has been less than 200 of the 22hp?

#2 page20 do you think a letter from Jinma similar to that will work for us?

Andy,
I may be wrong but as I read it the TPEM allows the importer to bring in 200 per year. It does not restrict the manufacturer to exporting only 200.

Can you explain why the jimna tractors are not bought by the Chinese? Why are the other models prefered?

Dear Bruce,

I think the reason is:

1) The Chinese farmers do not like Fibreglass Hood. They want the stronger metal hood.

2) Chinese farmers are a little fogyish (not fashionable). They prefer to buy a tractor of old famous brand. Jinma is a fresh name to them.

3) Chinese farmers are very poor! Most of them need to save at least 3~5 years' money to buy a tractor. So that they want to buy a tractor that are very durable & can be used for more than 10 years !!! They want to get cheaper parts & maintain service.

4) I found that many American buyers bought a tractor as a toy for fun in the holiday to clean the grass on their backyard. Maybe average a tracotr only work less than 1 hour per day. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif(Of course not all the buyers & tractors in America!!!) But in China, each tractor is used as a tough tool. Maybe a tractor in China need to work more than 8 hours per day. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: HELP ME !!! EPA issue in FLORIDA ! *DELETED*

Scozz,

Thanks !
I have the same idea as you said.
I replied to Scott:
"I think the 200units is a restricted quantity to your Company. NOT a restricted quantity to Jinma Plant.
Because if the 200units is for all the Jinma's 22HP to USA.
No doubt that Jinma plant has used up all the 200units' 22HP in this year."

Dear Andy,

From the comments in your post, most Chinese think the jimna tractors are inferior to others. I do not dispute this, but wonder why other models are not advertised more to the US residents if they are more reliable units.

Thanks,
bruce

The Chinese farmers are just like the real USA farmers. Brand/color loyalty, reliability, and easy to repair. Also they buy the older brands because they know them, this is the same argument that keeps some from buying Chinese or other newer brand of tractor in the USA.

In China smaller tractor = smaller farm, in USA smaller tractor is quite often used as lawnmower. Andy is right and has a good understanding of the USA CUT market.
