The Steeldrivers have a good twist on Bluegrass. Chris Stapleton was one of the founders there but has moved on to his own '"gig" getting some play time on commercial radio, hope that doesn't ruin him. Speaking of "commercial radio, listen to Robbie Fulks song, F*** this town on his "South Mouth" album. We are of the same opinion of what's being produced out of Nashville.

Still a big fan of Hot Rize. And of course, the guys in the back of the Hot Rize bus; Red Knuckles and the Trailblazers.

Eric Rice plays a great variety of bluegrass, new and old, on KVMR | every Saturday 10am-noon PST.

If you ever watched Emergeny-51 with John and Roy, then you know two things. The show was instrumental in advancing the EMT/Paramedic program in the US. And it had Julie London... Nurse Dixie McCall and her husband Bobby Troup. Both great jazz performers. Bobby Troup wrote the theme for "Route 66"

Linda was great. Funny story.....years ago.....I think around 1971....was at McCabes Guitar store in So. Calif. to see a young performer by the name of Jackson Browne.....he was playing with David Lindley. This club is really small......standing near the stage barefoot was Linda Ronstadt. Toward the end of the show.....Jackson invited her and a couple of guys up on stage.....the guys were total unknowns.....Glenn Frey, Don Hendley and JD Souther. I don't think any of them were signed to a record contract at the time. They were great!!!
