We are thinking of trading our Farmtrac 360 FEL/BH for a Kubota.

We are looking at the L39 or the L45

The local dealer did try and make us a deal on the M59, but I transport the tractor with my Nissan Titan and it will not pull the M59 (not legally anyway)

Please give us pros/cons as to what model you would suggest.

The bigger the better, but your limited to what you can tow... if you need to tow, that is. Good luck. I have two tractors and always wish I had gone bigger.

Yes, I tow the tractor on a 21' trailer. My Father-in-law has a farm about 35 miles from where I live and we use the BH/FEL at each place. I tow the tractor sometimes several weekends running, then maybe not for a couple of months.

Though the M59 is "bigger/better" it is just too big for our purposes. That is why we are looking at the L39/L45.

BTW - one of the reasons for the change is the clutch. We have had to replace the clutch twice. The Farmtrac uses a diaphram cluthc and it seems it cannot take heavy digging with the FEL (something we do)

Also, the Farmtrac BH can only dig 7' while the L39/L45 can dig 10'

I had expected a few more replies after looking at the advice given about other brands with similar questions. Perhaps this should have been posted in under the Kubota group, but I do not know how to move it.

In the meantome, the Farmtrac is still working.

Can't you just post it as a "new thread" in the Kubota section? I know there are some there who have just purchased the L39. I read the Kubota thread for about a year and a half before checking the "general" forum out; some others may do the same.

Good luck, I don't know anything about the L39, but was going to buy a L3940 or L4240 before finding my L5030 HSTC; very nice tractors. I have no use for a TLB, so don't pay much attention to them.
