HELP - My 2320 stopped dead while using it. Won't restart.

I had a pickup truck do that. Everytime it got around a quarter tank of fuel left, it would die. Dropped the tank and vacuumed it out. It somehow had sand in the bottom and when it got low enough it would clog the screen on the fuel pump. I later found out from the guy I bought it from that he 4 wheeled it a lot in the river bottoms. guessing that's where the sand came from.

Glad you got it running.if I were you I'd remove the tank and fuel inlet valve and clean it...or this will quickly happen again..sea foam isn't going to clean the blockage,save your money on that and use a good additive such as standyne or shaeffers diesel treat.

Thank you ScottK (kind stranger on the Internet): I had the exact same issue with the fuel filter assembly emptying and not-refilling. I dropped the filter container three times, filled it and put it back on only to have it drain again upon starting. Did a search online and found your picture of the assembly and knew there was a blockage upstream from the fuel line on the left. Unfortunately I had just filled the tank w/ no way to pump it out so I took a chance: removed the bolt so the fuel filter assembly was free, removed the fuel line, determined nothing was coming through, so I blew into it. Could hear the pop and then bubbles. The fuel started to pour out of the end of the line so I quickly re-assembled it. Runs fine now. Lessons learned: Keep the end of the fuel can and top of gas tank clean to avoid having crud enter the line. Thanks again, saved me a bunch of money and aggravation!
