Hi All,

I recently purchased a Kubota quick attach skid steer attachment for my L4200, The problem is the new attachment has larger pins that it attaches with so I need bushings to make it work, I have no lathe nor anyone local that seems to want to assist me, Most of the machine shops feel its too small of a job

Here is what I need:

4 - 1.185" (1 3/16") O.D. x 1" I.D. x 2 3/8" long bushings

If anyone is willing to make up these bushings please post here or P.M me with your contact info, I will pay manufacturing and shipping costs to Wheeling, WV

THANK YOU!

Have you looked at any suppliers of farm equipment? It is amazing how many spacers /bushing can be found for other equipment just sitting on the shelf. The machine shops do not want to bother because it looks like the sizes are very basic. And if the bushing is not quite wide enough just add a large washer to take up the slack.
What comes to mind is the weld on hydraulic cylinder sleaves sold at a Canadian outlet
( Princess Auto ).

Ok, most shops can make them, but that sounds like a common bushing, or at least most of it does. I would spend a lot of time online chasing bushing suppliers before wanting to make it at a shop. It would seem that a shop could just whip them out in no time, but I would be willing to bet that it would require a lot more setup time, stock procurement, work order, etc for most shops, and the costs would reflect all of that. However, from a bushing supplier, a mere few dollars, plus you can order a few spares so when they wear out, you can spend 2 days wondering where you put them, lol.

For example, here is one of many via google.

Aurora Bearing Company produces a wide range of sleeve bearings produced to SAE-AS81934/1 (formerly Mil-B-81934/1) and SAE-AS81934/2 (formerly Mil-B-81934/2). These journal bearings, in both the flanged and plain configurations, all feature Aurora’s proprietary AT 3200 liner system, fully qualified to AS81820. Total traceability is maintained through manufacturing up to and including shipping. Bore sizes range from ¼” (-04) through 2” (-32), and lengths from .156” through 3.00”.

That was with a single search, on the first page. Give it a shot.

Bunting Bearings CB162020 Cast Bronze C93200 SAE 660 Plain Sleeve Bearings, 1" Bore x 1-1/4" OD x 2-1/2" Length
from Amazon dot com would work, except for the diameter which could be addressed with a rough piece of sandpaper and the part mounted in a drill motor (by using a center bolt and a wooden spacer to fill the inner).

Or 3 of these?

If the length is a problem, they cut easily with a hacksaw, or I would just take a rough cut file to the end.

Did you order some extra ones so you could spend 2 days looking for them when the new ones wear out? You did notice the material those are made of, right? I was mostly trying to show you that a search was the way to find the bushings, not searching for a shop. I can build them in my shop, but NEVER would have considered doing it, due to outside availability.
If they work, glad to help.

Hydraulic Cylinder Components, Products

all kinds of bushings at all kinds of sizes.

One other place to look is tractor Supply . They have all kinds of bushing adapthers for using different size pins on different size tractors. My brothers 4610 ford had smaller pins than my Tn75 New Holland. I just kept the correct bushings in my tool box when I needed to borrow his scrape blade.

If you put those bushings into the balls on your tractor, use some grease on them first. I had put some in without grease and left them for several months on my bushhog and when I unhooked it to hook up to equipment with Cat 2 pins, I couldnt get the bushings out. I beat and hammered to no end and finally had to take my cutting torch to them and cut them out. The cadmium coating had corroded to the ball and was tight like it was welded. When I hooked up to the rake, I just left off the bushings and it still worked fine.
