Sirs,

I have accomplished all of the 50 hour service except for the Hydo/HST system. Try as I might, I am unable to determine the location of the drain plugs. I see what I think is one of them, but I have no clue on the rest. I have even crawled under with the owners manual in hand, but their drawings are virtually useless. I am stumped. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Would any of you have a photo showing the underside and the location of the plugs?

I never thought the drawings were useless. Actually, the drawing depicting the location of the (plugs) are right on.

If you have a cab tractor don't for get to depress the water drain pin which is the cad plated pin in the center of what looks like a drain plug right in the center of the tractor just behind the oil pans.

If I remember correctly, the are 2 drains, one on the right side of the side case just behind the high pressure filter and one in the center of the rear case. Use SUDT and don't forget the FWA case too.

Daryl,

The owner's (not the shop, which I do not have) manual stipulates 4 separate drain locations. I think I see the main one on the bottom. I am out of clues on the rest.

I have already accomplished the front, and I am using the Chevron All-Weather Synthetic THF.

I traded my 5030 on a M9 so I'm recollecting from memory and I didn't have a shop manual either. There are 2 drains on the side housings, one on each side at the bottom of the side cases, and a drain in the middle for 3. I can't recall a fourth unless you have a mid pto and that has to be drained too.

I just did the 50 on the M9 and used THD too. It's easier to see on the dipstick but I used 85-140 Spirax in the front case as I use my tractors for ag.

From poking around on the forum, one of the drains is apparently a recessed hex 10 mm. The problems is that I see a number of those /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I hope someone here has a photo...I use the BIG crayons when I color.
