Thanks for the advice. I will be changing the tranny oil also. I went to get some today but the tractor stores were closed for the holiday. That's all I've got left to do on my 50 hour. What do you clean the strainer with? Do you take apart the strainer?

Got er done and all shined up. Even made a tool box with the design based on a thread I saw on a post.

It's a 4" pvc with a cap on the bottom and top. Bottom cap has a small drilled hole (for pressure relief) so the top can slide on. It is mounted with a threaded rod through the exiting hole on the FEL post. I sanded the top of the pvc and inside of the cap so that it can just lip on and off. It's got just a little friction to keep the cap very secure. I was thinking of making it about 1-2 inches shorter for better proportion and perhaps a second one on the otherside, stereo? Another thought was to make it 6" in diameter for more storage although it fits more than what I need in it.

Just did my 50 hour service and found the front axle very low, not even on the dip stick. had to put in over two quarts to get it full. It is really difficult to believe that all these tractors can be shipped that low. I would definitly
hope that all new owners read these posts and check these levels long before
the scheduled service times.

I am doing the 50 hour on my new BX 25 tractor I got last month. Book says change oil filter and oil, nothing about the tranny and hydrolics at 50 hrs.

Do I need to change transmission filter and hydrolic filter? I cleaned the air filter, books says change at 100hrs.

I posted this in another thread. My new B3200 manual states that only the hyd and tranny filters need to be changed at 50 hours, not the fluid.

I thought this kind of odd when looking at the filters sitting very low on the bottom side of the hst and tranny.

I emailed Kubota Tech Support and they called me back the next day and said the manual was wrong and the fluid needs to be drained before pulling the filters.

If you have any questions on other models you might email them from the Kubota web site and ask for yourself. I'm now planning on changing both.

Here is the tech support link..
