HELP! Psycho squirrel!

I was just looking out the window and the dang thing walked around the trap 3 times but would not go in even with peanut butter in there.

Then I see one with a mouthful of bedding up on the tire of our van

I think it most be the same one as this has never happened before, maybe a young female looking for a nest. Like I said I have to many squirrels to count, plenty of trees but maybe they are overpopulated here in my yard.

I'll do what I can to help cull the herd

Do moth balls really work?

Last year I caught about a dozen squirrels in traps with peanut butter. Maybe your squirrels are allergic to peanuts?
