Tractor
Kubota MX5100 HST
I bought a MX5100 HST from a dealer last week and I ordered it with the front 3rd hydraulic function since I have plans for a grapple. Now, I'm realizing I might have use for rear remotes (hydraulic top link). My tractor hasn't been delivered yet since the dealer just got the 3rd function valve in on Saturday and has to install it. Should I call him up tomorrow and discuss adding on rear remotes now before it's delivered so I can roll it into the loan? How many rear remotes should I go for and what type? I know I want at least 1 set which means I should get at least 2, maybe 3. Float function on all of them?

Should I get 2 or 3 or just wait until I get the tractor and add them on later down the road?

I just have the one on the Kioti, but I was grading with a blade the other day, and I wished I had 3. I kept needing to change angle of attack with the top link. (thats one) I could have used side link, because I had to get off and adjust it several times (thats two) and I sure as heck wished the blade had hydraulic angle adjust ( that three).. I did not have any of that so I got off and on the tractor a bunch of times.. and when you are old and fat... well.. maybe I lost a pound or two, but I see why guys want these things. I just use the one for my grapple.

Get all 3, unfortunately I believe that you can only get the 2nd valve with the float function, but do get it with the float function.

Your old and fat? Who knew? :confused3: I thought that we were all slim and trim.:laughing: You know that we can get 4 sets out of that single set that you currently have.

Perhaps I'll just buy them and add them myself. I'll get my tractor quicker that way

Does anyone have the part numbers for them? I can get those from the dealer if not.

My dealer installs everything for free it seems like that I buy after the fact . So I would let the dealer do it .

I know, I have looked at doing it myself. Maybe someday.

I just called the dealer. $800 per rear remote for a total of $2400 for all 3. They were planning on delivery on Wednesday for the tractor. If I add the remotes now, they're part of the loan.

What do you think? Perhaps I should wait and add them later down the road, like maybe at the 50 hr service and just pay cash for them? I have no use for them right now, but I'm sure I will at some point in the next year or two as I learn how to make a big garden and fix up the property for a small farm.

I need to let him know tonight so he can order them if I want them as part of the loan.
