Help Re-Hooking up starter on 1988 John Deere 1050

I took photos when I disconnected my starter and found it was bad. Having trouble, even with photos, hooking up the new one. Does anyone have or know where I can view the wiring for that part of the tractor? One question is where the wire on the side of the starter goes; it is inside a plastic piece on the starter side. Because of the plastic surround I assume it is not ground but goes to 12volt, but I do not know that for sure. Thanks for any help!

Pulled that from a quick google search there was a comment on an old thread here somewhere about serial number ranges & that it might have changed sometimes during production

So ... based on that, your battery cable & white wire would go on one stud of the solenoid & the black would go on the other stud.
