Vince, it seems like guys are being quoted 10k to 11.5k from reading on here buying it stand alone, for a sub frame mount.
When I bought my tractor the hoe was 6500 to add it.
I bought my Rhino 85 (8 1/2' digging depth, same back hoe as the older Kioti 2085) with sub frame from a dealer 150 miles away in the crate in 2003. I did the final assembly and install
$5200 included subframe, mounting brackets, 18" heavy duty bucket and hose kit.
Its been a good backhoe, never any problems.

Back to the question of what series tractor...

Go to the dealerships in your area and talk to them about your needs. Then sit on and operate a few that the dealers think could do your jobs. With 20+ acres, I'd error towards larger than you think rather than small enough to get by. I Love backhoes. Love excavators more. for that acreage I'd rather go up a size in tractor and skip the backhoe. I'd rent / borrow a mini-ex if I ever needed one.

Just about any size tractor can do the jobs you listed. Larger tractors will do them faster. If I were you, with your budget I'd be looking at Kioti RX or NX models. DK if you want to go with more of a value tractor and have more money for implements. You'll appreciate higher horsepower with a larger mower when you mow 20 acres. And if you ever get a big snow on a long driveway, bigger is better.. can mean the difference between a pain in the butt all day affair into 45 minutes of fun (sorry, I have a short attention span)

OP...You say you're in for the LONG haul. Make sure the tractor brand you chose is too. I have three Deere machines, over three different sectors (Lawn, Construction, Agriculture) each is more than 20 years since new. Parts are easy, quick and relatively low cost to get. Plus... manuals are first rate.

Couple of questions that if someone can larify...
Comaring a JD3039R and L3901
1. JD says independent rear PTO, K says Live with overrunning clutch. Is one better than thenother?
2. Is a mid PTO driven mower better than a Rear PTO driven mower?

The L3901 is about 3-4k less than the 3039R.
Appreciate the guidance.
Thx
