Guys I visited two Kubota dealers today and looked at/priced a few new and used Kubotas. A new Kubota 3200 with what I want, FEL, heated cab, and 63" front blower, lists at around $28,000. If I could knock 10% of this and get down to a price of around $25,000 then I would give it some serious thought. As it stands now the list price with tax takes the price over $30,000 which I cannnot justify given the fact that besides snowblowing and some bushhogging I will not use the tractor that much.
The first dealer I visited is minutes away from where I live. Although the dealer handles the Kubota line I got the impression Kubotas were not a large part of their business. The only used Kubota the dealer had close to what I wanted was a
BX2350, 10 hrs. (basically still new), 23 hp., heated Curtis cab, tires filled, rear wheel weights, 50" front blower and rear sander. The price was $13,500 plus $3,500 for an installed new loader. This is tempting but I am concerned about the 23 hp. and prefer a larger higher grade blower.
The second dealer is about 45 minutes from my house and had the 2003
B7800, hydro, FEL, and heated Curtis cab, for $15,500, that I wrote about before. I could not look at this tractor because it was at another store. The dealer did have on site the 2006
B7800, hydro, 285 hours, FEL, heated Curtis cab, for $13,900, that Rpraymond mentioned. The tractor appeared to be in good shape but I did not have time to give it more than just a short look. The dealer will add the 63" blower (#2782A) to the tractor for an installed price of $5,700. So the cost of this tractor with the blower would be $19,600.
The way it stands now I am leaning towards the 2006
B7800. Its $8,000 cheaper than a new 3200 and will have the hp and blower I want. The BX 2350 is $2,600 less than the 2006
B7800 but once again its only 23 hp. and has a smaller blower. Of course if a dealer gives me a smoking deal on a 3200 I could probably swallow the extra $5000 it would cost.
