Help with a JD serial #

When I received my 2210 there was a print out with the manuals. At the top is says "Stocker Tractor Build Tag" it gives the RLP Date: 02Jun2004, serial number,exp whs date:04Jun2004, and some other info. Don't know if I was suppose to get this paper or not. Ok I give, what does RLP stand for?

Ron and Cowboydoc, your discussion has helped me understand the situation better. I suppose my friend's comment about "Georgia tractors" that I referred to earlier coupled with the uncooperative dealer in Dixie, GA. caused my skepticism. I have come to the conclusion that for me a new 5303 with a fel would be my best route. I say this because I don't think I need the "bells and whistles" and I have always used a non-synchrous tractor. Main use is to put out round rolls of hay. The used 5320 was about a toss-up in terms of $s with a new 5303. Doc you have given the 5303 good marks in the past. Do you and Ron still feel the same? Thanks again.

My local JD dealer gets in a lot of what he calls Peanut tractors. They are used for hauling peanut wagons from the field to the processor/collection point. Normally 100-300 hrs. They look new except the drawbar is worn. Most are 2wd but some are 4wd, all 5000 series.

The tractor I was interested in may have been used for a "peanut" tractor or something similar. I thought it was a little unusual that it had no hydraulic remotes. That would explain that. I didn't get far enough along in the deal to drive 5 hrs. to see the tractor. Might have seen abnormal drawbar wear if I had. Thanks.
