I agree your diagram is likely in error. It doesn't help that they use dashed lines for both part outline and some hoses. The "T" line from the FEL should also be shown with a hump around the horizontal power beyond line. This is where hands on trumps book knowledge. Go get greasy when it warms up.

Without a defined use for the PB capability and thus, no likelyhood of actual fabrication, I think we have done enough here. Of course, if you need more help, just ask.

I agree to we have taken it about as far as it can go, but your help has been invaluable, its pushed me in direction of understanding how system works I thank you sir.

Only thing I could hope for now is if someone has their 1700 series apart and could supply actual pictures....

I have to tighten the quick connects on my GC1720 (again), so I'll try to trace out the hard (and soft) lines compared to that diagram.

Going to reopen this thread as I think I have resolved some of the issues of how plumbing for backhoe is configured and how the MF shop manual may have it wrong... It also makes more sense if the hydraulic connections were used to add BP if no BH is on machine...

This would be hydraulics WITHOUT either FEl or BH...
Control Valve.jpg

This picture is with just FEL and 3PH in hydraulic system (1705-1715) ...
FEL and 3PH.jpg

This is where MF shop manual gets it wrong with added BH...
3ph-BH hydrauilcs-ERROR.jpg

This is corrected diagram of FEL to BH (BP?) then to 3PH.. #6 could be either BH or a BP valve assembly ...

Your last figure looks right. Now, what are you gonna do with this knowledge?

I don't think you'd like a log splitter at 4 gpm. Too slow. Something where flowrate is of little concern like a top cylinder or grapple might be useful. I have both and use them often.

Think the flow rate is something like 6.9 and yes I know its slow, but so am I at 75 years old....

Your pictures show a maximum of 18.7 liters/minute or just under 5 gpm. And, it will be less under load.

But I was really impressed with this.....

Splitting fun 3 point wood splitter Massey Ferguson GC - YouTube

Seems to be a DR unit (reported to be out of production now) ....

13 Ton Dual Split 3 point Tractor Mount - TMH1315 | Brave

Note GPM rating and cycle time...

And why is it you to keep pushing back on me when it's my project and my goal.... Maybe if nothing else it gains knowledge and it also might help somebody else who has same idea or goal... And maybe someone wants to use BP for some other type of project if its once figured out......
