Help with remote hydraulics...

I just got my new L4630 and had my dealer put in one remote hydraulic at the rear so I could run hoses to the front for my DirtWorks grapple fork. When looking at the remote hook up I can not figure out how I will release the hose once it is in the female end as it is in a mounting bracket and there is no collar to slide back, nor can you push the hose forward as it is a hard line to the tractor. How do I unhook this and do I need a special type of connectors when I go to buy my connectors and hose to run forward?

Most do not have a slip ring. Insure that the pressure is off the connector, ie (control valve cycled - and or motor off) and grasp the hose with the male connector close to the connector and pull straight back.

Great!! That sounds easy enough. Are the connectors brand specific as well as diameter specific? Or do all connectors interface?

It wil take a sharp pull to disconnect and you will lose a small amount of hydraulic fluid. About 1 mil. The connectors are Pioneer 1/2" PT which are just about standard for current production tractors. If you have the skid steer type quick attach on your loader, skid steer hydraulic attachments use "flat face" connectors and would require adapters.

The locking ring is held in the connector block with a retaining ring and the body moves back as you insert a hose then snaps forward to lock. It moves forward to release the hose when you pull it out then snaps back to neutral.
