It's a HST and the PTO is not engaged. I guess it could be an in line fuse, but I haven't located one as yet.

Yeah, that's a good place to start! If you don't have an ampmeter, try a bulb from a car and some wire (DON'T SHORT THE BATTERY OUT THOUGH!) /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

HST still needs to be in nuetral... not sure if that would cause the dash ligts to be dead.... I guess not.. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Going out to check the grounding loop and to disconnect and reconnect battery. Be back in 10 min. Thanks for all the suggestions.

…ran over a rope with my B2150 mid mount mower. Mower and tractor stopped immediately.…

Not familiar with your particular tractor, but is it possible the rope “prior to breaking” whipped enough under the tractor undercarriage caught a wiring harness and “whipped a safety switch/plug” loose/out of its socket…?

I’d lie on my back under the tractor and study the path of your harness and offsets… looking for something dangling… wanting to go somewhere… /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Just a thought, did you remember to turn off the key after the sudden stoppage? Depending on how long you spent untangling the deck, if the key was on the whole time, you may have run the battery down.

Mmm I like that idea.
Because I couldn't think of any reason a fuse would blow when a motor were jammed stopped. I could see plenty of stuff breaking perhaps, but why no juice??

I had a section of lawn with green plastic netting put down to hold the seed in place while the grass grew. After the grass got growing, I figured I could just mow over the top with the BX and not pick up the netting in the blade. Well, two hours later with cutters and a razor knife.....

Well I got up this morning in a more positive frame of mind. I'll let y'all know if I find out anything. I did turn the key off and back on again upon initially trying to restart the tractor so....., the battery should not be dead.

There is also a 30 amp fuse under the hood on right side while siting on seat. not sure if this is it but it will not hurt to check. I hate trouble shooting electrical problems.
