My wife just finished up her parent's will. She is the executive. She had to sell off a lot of rental homes. One of the homes her parents carried the loan, 7%. She did some checking around on selling the loan. The most she could get for the note was 49% of the overall value of the loan!:shocked:

Liens are powerful and easy to get issued... at least they used to be. It wasn't uncommon for home construction subcontractors to routinely put liens against the spec home that they did work on until the general contractor paid them. Not sure how easy it is to do in this case, SA. But I would look into that option.

100% agree on getting a lien on her property as the court has awarded you a settlement... which she has not paid in full. She's legally indebted to you.

She's also loony enough to 'burn her house down before she gives you anymore of her money", which is why the lien needs to be on the entire property.

600/hr in LA for my entertainment attorney. I called him once, never again. I just throw his name around when I need to.

Exactly! My last attorney (now a judge) was $300.00 an hour.

A good lawyer wouldn't cost you $300/hour.

A good lawyer would cost her $300/hour.

Not necessarily. Yes you would ask that she be ordered to pay your attorney fees. Even if the judge did order it how confident are you that she will pay it? Also you have to pay the lawyer up front.

Might be a good idea to hear her side of the argument?

If you bothered to read the thread and understand the information that is in the thread then you would realize that the courts have already heard her side of the argument. The only issue is why she has not complied with the court's previous orders and when they will actually enforce their (the court's) orders.:confused2::confused::rolleyes:
