We were to visit some friends Friday night for a few drinks and maybe some card playing...but I got a message on the answering machine that he may not be able to get together due to 20 ton of 2b stone sitting in his driveway. Due to overhead wires the delivery truck could not tailgate/spread the stone and a call to the rental place would get a skidsteer delivered tohis ouse but very late in the day. On top of that they wanted $80 for the skidsteer, $20 for the trailer to bring it to his house and a wopping $100 delivery/pickuip charge(he's only 8 miles from the rental place)
I called my buddy back and said cancel the skidsteer and I'll pick up a rental trailer and bring the PT over...his response was will that "little" tractor be able to handle it?? Of course I said not to worry about it and I'll be over soon. Well, the rental place only had a large trailer available and only had chains for tie downs....I saw some aluminum truck ramps outside and inquired on the max. capacity of them...sticker said 600 lbs. each.I took them home, used a pair of jack stands for support at the midway point and onto the truck went the PT.
