Tractor
Kubota L3710
Hey guys I'm posting for an older friend who thinks that computers are evil, well kinda anyway.

His problem is with a Kubota L3710. Everything seems to be normal with the hydraulic system except that he used to be able to lift the bucket just while standing off to the side of the tractor. Now he needs to rev it up to 1250 to 1500 just to get it going. I have some info and can get more if you need it. He's a great guy and I'd sure like to be able to help him figure this thing out.

As I said the tractor is a L3710
Loader..LA681
control Valve Body L2085
Bucket L1741A

I believe It's a HUSCO sytem under the controls..

And yes the filter and fluids are new..the pressure seems to be correct throughout the system...something is just not right..Like something so miniscule it's been missed.

No idea on why it has changed. Sounds like an efficiency issue with the hydraulics.

But more importantly it is dangerous to operate the loader when not on the tractor. The tractor could roll or tip when the loader is operated. Does he have any complaints about the loader lifting less than it used to?

My B21 loader lifts very slowly at idle.

What I meant was you could raise the bucket on idle before I didn't mean that he had a full load and was goofing around raising and lowering while not on the tractor..I just am saying that now he needs to raise the rpms up just to lift it load or not..

It's just like I said everything seems to be in order...I saw this answer on another forum....

Hi All, A few days ago I posted a problem with my L245DT the loader and 3 pt would barley raise and only at high R's with no lift strength.after checking everthing I could take apart I was only able to find the one relief valve under the seat at pressure block, It looked as though the pump needed to be replaced after reading the function of the loader control valve it said that near the inlet valve there is a relief cartdiage sure enough a small piece of gunk had stuck this valve partialy open, by pushing down with a small bolt it broke free and move freely aginst the spring load screwed it back in and to my relief the relief worked and all was back to normal wanted to post this incase any one else should have this problem. Thank you all for your input on my original post the good thing is the filter got cleaned do to this good luck on all your repairs out there!

I was kind of wondering if the same thing might exist on the L3710.

There are some really good hydraulics guys on TBN. I am not one of them but I would check the quick connects they can restrict flow if not seated all the way. I would just power the machine down relieve the pressure and reconnect and give it a try.

My question? It was operating fine! Then it was not operating fine!

The bucket is slow to lift.

What has happened or what has changed between "Was fine" and "Not fine"

It sounds like the fluids and filters were changed? Anything else! If you disconnected any lines then try disconnecting them again and reassembling them, I do not know this model but most have a screen or second filter some place, the OP manual should list it and tell you where it is! check it to see if it is clean!
Maybe someone:thumbsup: who has this model can be of more help!

Ideal: If you have air in the cylinders that MIGHT be it. Just raise and lower the bucket and tilt the bucket back and forth several times and that should cycle the air out of the system.

Well the part between fine and not fine wasn't some event that was noticed..It just kind of happened I guess. The bucket lifts at a normal rate as far as I know..but it takes alot more RPMS to get it to do so.

When was the last time that the loader pins were greased? If they are dry, the friction force offsets the lift force by a good smount equivalent to some extra weight in the bucket.

A gauge will tell you if the system pressure is down. That could be caused by fluid viscosity being lower or a worn pump. Is the power steering pump separate from the aux hydraulics? If not, how is the low idle steering effort?

Just picking at straws.

Between the time that you drained the system and refilled it did you have to go to town to get the fluid or go inside and have dinner and was the cap left open? If so is there a rag missing and cat prints all over the case, or were the kids/grandkids trying to help or ???????!

There is a reason that I ask these question but that is a story for another time!
Stuff happens:eek: I know!
