I didn't find a link to the 1st one I saw but it was 50lbs and I think 200 amps at 60% duty cycle. That could be super handy in a skid steer or similar machine with aux. hydraulics.

I've seen them on some service trucks, powered from a PTO hydraulic pump setup. They also make generators and compressors that run the same. If I remember correctly, they're really expensive.

One of my company furnished vehicles had an underhood DC welder to demo stick rod. I never used the thing but it looked like an overgrown alternator with external diodes poking out the side. It claimed 160 amps I think. The engine had to run to use it.

When I had a jeep there was one advertised in off road magazines called premier power welder that ran off a high powered alternator.

I put together a car alternator welder powered by a 10hp electric motor I had laying around. It makes very nice welds. Just wanted to see how it would work.
