Did they have a pink Barbie edition too? Really, they are all Barbie trucks to me.

So for all the people who arent in favor of these pickups, what is the major turn off?

If I had $85k to pissaway on anything, (off the top of my head) it might be a totally restored & "tricked out" 1gen. Bronco, 77 F-250, 97 F-350
and a 73 Vette. I think all of those might get me up to $85k.

What don't I like about them? First off, the older I get, the less I like aftermarket wheels and tires. They usually have fairly nice ones from the factory anymore. I also don't like lifts. Very few people need a lift, and for what you spend on doing a lift, wheels, and tires, buy a gator or a 4 wheeler instead. The red Ford, I hate the chrome add ons. The black one is O.K., but its too black, maybe some chrome or aluminum wheels would help.

I have had about 7 or so vehicles with a manual transmission. Never again. Give me a 6 or 8 speed automatic any day of the week.

Chris

Agreed! A few years ago we had a wicked blizzard blow through, hours of zero visibility and icy conditions. My 35 minute drive home from work turned in to 4 hours. After that I swore off owning a manual again.

The ghetto cruiser wheels - 17" is an ideal size. Every option under the sun, some of which is forced on us, like all the electronics. I don't want wifi in a vehicle.

The all black truck is nothing more than an overpriced work truck. I love chrome, let me have the choice.

I want an 8' box on a 1500 Crew Cab, 6 1/2 should be the minimum. LT Tires should be the only option on trucks. When I bought my truck last March I put 10 ply LT on mine.
I buy 3 year old lease returns, no hit on depreciation like buying new.

In my opinion lifting and putting mud tires on a diesel truck is kind of ridiculous. Off road wheeling in a 3/4 ton truck sucks. Especially switchbacks. Get a Jeep.

I own a 3/4 ton diesel truck because I tow a 30' rv/toyhauler. My Chevy truck is bone stock and I went out of my way to find one with the 18" wheels. The 20" wheels just make it ride rougher.

To each their own though. I did always wonder how the kids got the cash and/or financing to buy these things and then bling them out. I thought my truck was expensive but 83k is ridiculous.

Could someone please explain to us how a 3/4 ton quad cab 4x4 truck has $40k in options? Insane in my opinion.

A fool & his money are soon parted! I think a buyer should be required to have a use for a truck instead of just looking cool & used as a passenger vehicle.
I'd be willing to bet that 6 out of 10 trucks on the road today never see a day of work, just silly to me.

This dealer in Murfreesboro, TN has 6 or more pickups with MSRP of $90k+.
I look at the ads and laugh. The manufacturers think that people will buy these rigs?
I know they will sell a few. Every new dealer I drive by has lots full of fancy 2016
trucks. There are several new 2015 models available. IMO they have overshot the
market on what most people will spend on a truck. I forsee a huge cleansing in the
marketplace especially as the 2017 hit the lots this fall.
