Oh yeah, there's no doubt which one I'd rather have a ton in. I'm sure the F150 will do fine, but I like the extra size and weight of the F250, especially when towing.

You are correct. My most frequent towing is with my fish and ski boat that i doubt weighs 5000 lbs. Most of the towing is in the hills in the Ozarks. I've pulled this boat with 1/2 tons (never an ecoboost) and my current V10 Superduty. No comparison which one is the most stress free ride.

I can easily pull it with just about any 1/2 ton but there really is a huge difference in perceived towing experience with a more powerful and heavier truck.

I just traded my 2011 F150 eco for this one. 2013 F150 Lariat 6.5 bed ecoboost 3.73 8200 gvwr 7 lug 17" rims max tow package factory brake controller. Im planning to sell my 2003 F350 Diesel.

I traded in my 2010 F150 STX a couple of weeks ago for this. 2013 F150 XLT 6.5 bed eco, 3.73, 7700 gvwr and max tow.

What gets me though is the sticker that's on the hitch. If I read it correctly, towing anything over 5000 .lbs needs a weight distribution hitch.

This is common. My 04 F250 was the same and my 08 Titan requires one at 6000#.

This is very common. I have a max tow Eco also and the max tow does have a beefier hitch than the standard tow package.
