Truck is about 5500# So about 2700#How much weight can you haul in the bed when rated at 8200 GVWR?

flyingcow, I was going to recommend doing what Powerhorse did and get the heavy duty payload package. It will give you several hundred extra pounds of payload capacity.
...The 2009 F250 I have is paid for. I just don't budget for new vehicles less than 10 years apart. 10 years old or 250k miles are my requirements for justification of a new truck.This one came with 5 years of payments. The interest rate is low so I spread the payments out.

According to the door sticker 2171 lbs.
Which is more than the 1999 on my '08 F250 PowerStroke!
One of them will handle a ton much better than the other!
