The T654 appears to be more of a true utility-farm tractor with a Duetz diesel and 1000lbs heavier, but few pounds less loader lift capacity? 3200 vs 3400 on the 4058 - unless they speced them differently.
Good idea to drive each one, then decide - $ for $ they seem to be the same price bracket, and for your uses I'd be leaning towards the heavier, more HP T654,
