15 hours in 3 days is enough to make anyone grouchy on Monday! 

15 hours in 3 days is a vacation. LOL. We do that in one day about everyday for weeks on end plus work a 40-50 hour regular job.

For some it might be a vacation; but, when I sit on a computer, in meetings or do thermo/ heat transfer calculations it is not the norm. Hence not liked at times or in long durations..this is one.

If people do it longer that it great. But I did not spend my time learning in schools to do that. I wanted an air conditioned job for a reason. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Steamer still not all the way apart. TTV on a truck to Jersey.

HRSG and GT apart. new cap and cowl.

Grease in motor windings.

Cooling tower basin.

Aux 70K aux boiler with leaky gas valves. and removing distalate system

Cals.

Demin system retrofit and broken laterals

condenser tubes.

Heat exchangers.

Etc Etc

I'm going to bed.

You know, I hate the spring. It's a mindset, springtime for most is a wonderul relaxing, beautiful time of the year. For all us folks in the power industry, it's a nightmare. I'm ready to check out of this profession. There's more to life than being proud of an online time or online capacity number that does nothing except make others money. Heck, if we worked off a percentage in what is the ponzi scheme known as power sales as it's become these past dozen years, we'd be MILLIONAIRES! I think when I'm done here, I don't want to hear the work valve, compressor, turbine, fuel, or any of that crap. I guess doing the same thing for twenty six years is getting old. Maybe I need to sell boats, tractors or trucks for a living. Maybe buy a backhoe and dump truck. Shoot, I'm almost so burned out I'd consider taking the pay cut to work at Walmart! (we've got a friend that works there and loves his job)

It's been forever, and I mean since I was in high school, that I got to enjoy the springtime like everyone else.

Better now than A forced outage in the winter up here.

I just changed plants in late Feb.

Just before that I did a forced CI It was -20 deg F.

Frozen solid tubes in distilled H2O plants air cooled condensers at start up.
