I run Adcom GFA 555 Power Amp into a GTP500 II Pre-Amp. I used to have a great set of Klipsch Chorus Speakers, they were great in college, but the wife declared them too large for the house. She was probably right, especially since my good gear is now in my home office. Traded the Klipsch's in on a pair of Energy Pro Series 4.5's. They are nice, but somewhat overwhelmed by the power of the Adcom.

In the family room, I run a Denon 687 7.1 Receiver and JBL Sub/Surrounds. In my office at work is my old Kenwood receiver running a pair of Genesis 11's. I really love the old Genesis Speakers. If I could find a decent set of 44's for the right price, I'd have a hard time passing on them.

I have the same amp, Adcom 555 II. KEF 103 and Sonus Faber speakers. I'm plan to replace the KEF's with a much smaller speaker. I have gone from "heres my stuff" to "I don't want to see any of it except the TV". My wife wholeheartedly agrees.

Well, when you grow up like me and you don't need the windows to shake,,get you one of those bose radio/cd player combos,,fits in a bread box,,,plays 4 cd's,,very good sound,,no adjustments etc,,about 8-900 dollars,,,now,,they got a bigger one,,less than 2,000 I think,,bet it would fit even you guys ears,,,,seriously,,,I was just like the commercials,,,,[can't believe this little thing will sound that good, etc],,,but like I said,,unless you need to be overwhelmed, and have windows rattle,,,you ought to think about it,,,bet the bigger one would even rattle windows?,,,,thingy

Dunno if you're talking about Bose or not... but I was thinking on buying one of their accoustimas systems and sticking (hiding) their bass module inside my lower horn    :D

No offense,,,,I'm plenty grown up and I've heard the Bose Breadbox all in one type,,,,they really don't compare to true audio equipment. Good,,,high quality audio has nothing to do with rattling the windows, it's about enjoying a true, properly imaged, pure audio experience.

So true. I found that in a small pair of Paradigm Signature series. Once you hear that kind of sound, its truly addicting. I suggest you don't do it.

Well, like I said, whenever you guys grow up,,,,I know the bigger ones make better sound,[well, most just make more sound],just gave away my old kenwood system,,it wasn't as high end as the ones your talking about,,but would shake and rattle things,,yeah more bass,,etc,,,than the little bose radio for sure,,got tired of giant speakers and dust collecting in sterio componants,,,this little bose is on a small shelf,,,makes all the noise I need for my small house,[would like to maybe upgrade to their bigger one, which will still fit on shelf],,,they are good people to deal with too, sent me a cord to hook up my tv and a radio anntanna free, after I asked of course,,and you got 6 months to try it out,if you don't like it,you get all your money back,,,I bet 75 percent of the people who have a big stero system in their living room right now,,would throw it out if they heard what this little bose sounded like and how little it is,,that is,the ones over 50,[and growed up],thingy

I have always liked that one.!!!:D
My family and I make sure our kids get lots of music and we all enjoy the movie theater. It is also a way to relax. Have any of you been to the movies lately? It cost quit a bit and you just do not have all of the comforst of home.

I run Adcom GFA 555 Power Amp into a GTP500 II Pre-Amp. I used to have a great set of Klipsch Chorus Speakers, they were great in college, but the wife declared them too large for the house. I still have my Adcom GFP 750 and just sold my GFA 7802 and GCD 750. They were a great combo. I still have a GFA 5503 for a backup 3 channel amp. I will use it some where.:D

Well, your right,,maybe older and wiser would have been better thing to say than growed up?
There is a place of course for these super sonic sound systems,,and I ain't an audio whatever you call it,,audiophile? So,maybe shouldn't have brought it up in this thread,,its just they are so few of them people out there, that this would have been a short and sweet thread with out me posting,,,plus somebody might read it and try one of those bose radios out,,,if anybody wants something that makes very good sound for your average size living room, and is getting tired of that old dust trap with giant speakers setting in the way,,try the bose out,,,,cause there are about three ways to go with this sound stuff,,super big, very expensive high end stuff,,,or super big pretty expensive low end stuff,,or those cheap shelf system boom box things,,,and than there is my option, the bose,,not cheap, but not real expensive,,small enough to fit in a bread box, setting it up is about as easy as it gets,,they got three four models for you average home,,all the sound 90 percent of us older and wiser people need,,[bose should send me my check now],,,just kidding,,,doing this for to help older and wiser people out. thingy
