Just a friendly word of caution here... please don't anyone get their dander up if you don't agree.
You guys are talking about rigging up a set of longer links to the 3pt attachment points because the backhoe is too snug against the cab on this 3710. Not any kind of an expert on 3pt backhoes, but seems to me this sets the hoe farther back from the tractor. The problem with that - again what do I know - is that it would allow the operation of the hoe to exert greater leverage against the attachment points where it joins the tractor.
Being that you are using the 3pt attachment points, which take a lot of stress with even a standard 3pt backhoe installation, the extension may be getting you outside the limits of what the back end of that tractor was designed for.
If you only used the hoe occasionally and did so conservatively, you'd probably never have a problem, but you said a few msgs back you have a respectable amount of work in store for this rig. IMHO that really begs for a subframe mounted backhoe. Just something to think about.
