I havent been able to get on for months now.Ihave had log in problems,and couldnt get a new password,My imagination even made me think i was banned,although wasnt sure why Thanks to BIRD and MUHAMMAD FOR GETTING ME BACK!!Ihave been reading,but in agony because i couldnt respond.Ive talked to some of you on other sites,but i surely missed my TBN!I have lots to report,from my new truck to pull my BOTA around,to the steel cab ive been fabbing for the bx for the last few months.Well ILL TAKE IT SLOW GOT LOTS OF PICS FOR YOU ALL!!Its nice to be back

Give that woman of mine heck ,when you go there,,she logged me off TBN december 24 and todays the first day i could get back.Iguess she must not of liked being a TBNwidow every night
That quick hitch sure was a life saver plowing up bankings this winter.Iused the one i bought on back,but didnt like it there.So i USE the blade with yours up in the bucket.

I know that happened on the Practical Machinist board. A bunch of posters ran a "girl" poster off. She bought a Bridgeport milling machine and a Southbend Lathe and I have seen some of the work she has done with them, learning stuff in record time. I met her when she drove her Harley up to meet me on one of my runs. It is amazing what people take for granted on the 'net, and when somebody posts in real life, everybody doubts them.

I love my little bx23. I'm pushing 700 hrs on it now with no problems except two broken air cleaner brackets. I've moved tons and tons of dirt building up a pad for my new work shop. Dug the footings (150 ft x 24" wide x 24" deep). Spread and compacted 68 ton of gravel fill in the foundation. Set the walls and roof trusses. Moved snow at home, the neighors, and the church parking lot. Mowed grass, dig stumps, hauled sand bags and raked trash from our little flood here in Evansville, and too many other thing to remember. It's a little work horse, I don't know how I ever got along with out it. I saw your thread on the cab, awesome job. If you put a windshield wiper on it you will need to put safty glass in for the windshield as plastic will scratch too easley. Waiting to see the finished product.

RON, i bought all lexan for the cab ,except the windsheild ,and all the gasket.The glass company told me if i put small gussets or have round corners the gasket will work,and look better,so i did,They are gonna cut my windsheild when im ready,will be one of the last things.

Heres a pic of my modifyed air cleaner holder.WELD one up and it will end your problems.

If I am seeing correctly, you have taken the air cleaner bracket off of the engine and mounted it on the engine cowling, right? That's a good move. Next time it breaks, it will get moved. Thanks for the heads up.

YES,Having the aircleaner on the engine was a stupid design,these engines really thrash at idle.Iused some 1 inch flat stock and used the bolts already there that holds the hood and cowl on.Ihad more pics and cant find them,but i painted it orange too.Can take pics if you need some .1/2 HOUR JOB Can you tell im not afraid to modify my tractor?

Hi Alan - I think I've been gone longer than you have. Good to see you're still coming up with innovative fixes for the BX. I will also do that mod when my aircleaner bracket breaks next time.

Never did fab my own thumb, ended up buying a Wallenstein. Still have the flat stock for it, though...

Nice to hear from ya!
Iactually did that aircleaner thing a few years ago,now i think,with no issues since.If im not mistaken they redesigned the air cleaner on the BX-24,I DONT THINK THEY HAVE IT THRASHING WITH THE ENGINE ANY MORE.
Icant really blame any one from buying a thumb,they are alot of work.If you recall when i built mine,the idea of a thumb on a bx was not popular or widely heard of.
My cab project is my project jewel.Working on it each night ,makes me feel like its turning into one of those sweet little cabbed tractors lke that 3030[i think it is]only in a smaller version.

Im glad to be back.Glad i didnt have to start with a new name guess it was a computer clitch that wouldnt let me on??? Thanks to MUHAMMAD for fixing my password thing for me ,since the "TBN COMPUTER" didnt send me passwords.Im glad now Ikept trying to get back,even though i was irritated,i was persistant Imust hold the record for requesting a password. Although I never posted with it ,Iset up a new account ,with my wifes e-mail and Iwas escavadar[with an a] Once i contacted BIRD,he forwarded MY stuff to the BOSS and im back If i could get wifey to join us ,she can use that name.Of course ill have to be careful what i say then
I really like this forum,because their are alot of KUBOTA people on here.The other site i visit is nice too,i still check in there too.Its a big world on the internet,if there was only one site ,no one would ever have a chance to talk.
Ill admit though TBN is back being my home page.
