Preparedness actions...

Review your severe weather safety procedures for the possibility
of dangerous weather today. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio,
weather.gov, or other media for watches and warnings. A tornado
watch means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form
during the next several hours. If a tornado warning is issued for
your area, move to a place of safety, ideally in a basement or
interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.

Storm Prediction Center Public Severe Weather Outlook (PWO)

Note that High Risk days are rare, generally not more than two or three per year if any at all. The last one was May of 2017. They almost never 'bust' (few storms produced), so if you're in the area, you should be taking this seriously.

This has been a very volatile year for weather. Crazy.

If only you had your location in your profile, we could advise you if you needed to take shelter AND we could pray for you.

Or tell you to bend over and kiss your ***** good bye. All kidding aside, be safe. Our weather in Eastern Kansas looks pretty volatile also, just that time of year. Pretty snowy winter up here so I kinda predicted a stormy spring.

This has been a very volatile year for weather. Crazy.

Back around 1976 I recall discussing global warming with my friends. Yeah, we knew about it back then. The predictions varied from floods to droughts. My opinion was that dumping all that excess energy into the atmosphere would result in more violent storms.

I think I nailed it.

Oh here we go, global warming, climate change, or what ever.

What was it doing the age of dinosaurs? Then the earth experienced the Ice Age. With the Ice Age being long gone, maybe we are returning to the "normal climate", what ever that may be. :confused3:

I believe climate change is a constant, cyclical, never ending world event.

I wouldn't worry about excess energy as much as much as man made air and water pollution. The ocean is rapidly becoming one giant cesspool. More chemicals and plastics, anyone?

We missed the first wave; next one due about nine this evening. I guess the roads are crowded with storm chasers, some from foreign countries.

The weather is really screwed up ! When MA is warmer than SoCal, there has to be a big problem.
Although I have seen snow in SoCal, close to San Diego, it has only been a dusting... I'm still waiting for the big storm !

If we get some wind and nasty looking clouds, like yesterday, I feel very uneasy. It doesn't help having no insurance what so ever!

I can't imagine what it must be like down there.

Yesterday in shorts, today in a winter jacket and knit cap. Got a good fire going.
