A Major Severe Weather Outbreak is Forecast Today and/or Tonight
A severe weather outbreak appears increasingly likely, centered on this afternoon and evening, across a large portion of the Mississippi Valley. At least a few long-track, strong to potentially violent tornadoes are probable, particularly over portions of the Mid-Mississippi Valley to the Mid-South. Swaths of intense damaging wind gusts along with very large hail are expected as well.

The last couple days our weather has been tumultuous. High winds, changing direction a couple times a day. Very humid warm air. A band of storms is going across mid Missouri now. I'm just on the North edge of it. We have had 3 or 4 sprinkle events but nothing measurable for rain yet. I was just now working outside and had to step into the shop for a few minutes til the latest sprinkle goes by. I fertilized my yard a couple days ago based on the forecast. Hope we get enough rainfall to melt it in.

We had very high winds last Saturday. I never lost power but my sister 4 miles down the same road still has no electricity

Two more times in the last couple hours it's sprinkled. Wind was hard out of the South. About 15 minutes ago it switched to West and increased velocity.

There's a plowed field just West of my farm. Here's a pic of the dust blowing off that field. The soil is too wet to work. But there's a thin layer of dry dirt on top. This dust cloud is a short half mile away.
