Speed is one thing but ping times and latency are a killer with satellite.

If you are under 80ms. You can usually get by with using VOIP for voice communications. Less time is better. Consistency is better.

This is what I have now. Small dish on the house pointing at a mountain across the valley and that tower points to another tower on another mountain...Only the best it has ever done is 5 mpbs down. Ran a speed test a couple days ago and my down speed at that time was .68 mpbs. For this I pay $60 a month! I could almost live with that if it weren't for all the time it isn't available at all.

Just now did a speed test.....10.4 down.....1.15 up
Every time I check it is around 10....I would be complaining if I were you
