UPDATE - Today I received the serial numbers for the tractor and for the loader. It should arrive at the dealership today or tomorrow. Either way, it should be all set for me to pick it up Saturday morning. Woo Hoo!!!!! Man, I can't wait to see her in person. My wife asked me what I had planned for the tractor's first job. Before I could answer, she began to rattle of a list of tasks. That's my girl! Making sure I have plenty of seat-time on the newest member of the family.

I also decided to take advantage of Mahidra's Power Package Special. For implements, I chose the SSL Bucket Forks and 72" HD Box Blade (both made by Mahindra). I am also buying a 3-pt quick hitch adapter (also made by Mahindra). I'm done wrestling with 3-pt implements. Bad arm, bad knee, bad foot!

I also bought copies of both the Service Manual and the Parts Manual. Hope I won't need them except for maintenance purposes.

When I have her home, I'll take some pictures and share 'em with the group.

Aside from a (hopefully) small glitch (outlined in the "Malfunction Indicator Lamp" thread in the Mahindra Owning/Operating section), I am L-O-V-I-N' my new tractor!!!I have never owned a more versatile piece of equipment in my life. I'm doing little tasks that I never would have even attempted with my JD 4300. Don't get me wrong; I'm not trying to compare the two as equals. That wouldn't be fair. All I know is that so far, I think this has potentially been one of the best equipment purchases I have ever made. With a grand total of 5.0 hours on the meter, I have already burned through about 1/3 of the 'Things to do right off the bat' list!

Here are a couple pictures as promised. More to follow!

Congrats!! Looks like a beast. I wish you luck, but know you won't need it. I'm looking forward to seeing pics with the snowblower attached and/or in action.

Here are a couple more pictures. Smaller file size too. The box scraper is a really handy attachment! I'm finding a bunch of uses for it that I never thought of. I don't know how much it weighs, but at 6' wide it's pretty darn heavy. I may just leave it on until I need to use a different implement.

Tractor is running great, but the darn MIL light is still on. Hope the dealer can figure out why it came on!!!

Congrads!! good choice. I found that mine had a few inch wider footprint than the Kubota I had which put my 6ft boxblade just inside the tire tread. Not a big issue but I am goint to buy a 78" blade soon. Next you will be thinking top and tilt. once you have it you won't know how you did without. Have fun!

Thanks BlackOps and Steamin! I think you might be right, Streamin. We're finally getting some much needed rain and it looks like it'll be with us for the next 5 or 6 days. While that means no seat time until the skies clear, it gives me time to come up with new projects so she can earn her keep.

One thing I know I want to do is level the stone road out to the barn, but I've heard it's easy to get in trouble with a box blade and I don't want to screw it up.

It's gonna be a long 5 or 6 days! ;-)

I've figured out you can't screw anything up that can't be fixed, just more seat time!

Good point. And as we all know, more seat time = good!
