Think overloading by a couple tons helped?
I have overloaded my much “lower quality” Kaufman and haven’t experienced and weld failures or broken goose neck hitches.

A proper weld with penatration, in theory, is stronger than the metal around it. Overloading would cause bending or axle failures if welded correctly. Metal should have torn instead of weld popping apart!

30k-40k GVW trailer with two 11k lb machines on it shouldn't be overloaded.
Look at pic #4 it’s a 30k trailer that weighs 11620 so yea 2 11K machines plus attachments puts it a couple tons over.

Axle, brake and tire failures are ok as long as it doesn’t bow or have a weld failure. What is the engineered “safety margin” when overloading?

Look at pic #4 it’s a 30k trailer that weighs 11620 so yea 2 11K machines plus attachments puts it a couple tons over.
It has two 16,000 lb axles which = 32K. Add a significant amount of tongue weight to that number. That exact trailer is also available in a 40K GVW configuration. So, trailer empty weight = 11620. Add two 11K lb. machines. Throw in 1000 lbs of attachments for good measure. 34,620. A trailer whose frame can support a GVW of 40K should not be cracking with that weight. Even if the max GVW on that frame was only 30K, not 40K, it should still not be cracking like that with a little extra weight on it.

Maybe some wild-eyed cowboy drove it across a bumpy field overloaded going way to fast?
We all blamin DC, but usually its operator error
