You folks here got me going on building a cab for my tractor, something to get me out of the wind during snow-blowing. If the big snow holds off here for a few more days, I'll be all set. If not, I'll be blowing snow on a tractor with a skeleton mounted on it, and be looking pretty silly.

I've started an entry on my blog and from time to time will update. If you are interested, take a look. Tony Zona on the Web

600 rider: I'm north of Waterford.

Army grunt: I have orange marine vinyl on the way for the top, and clear 20-mil marine vinyl for the sides. Front and rear will get Lexan. Starting that soon.

I'm still chipping away at this, and more than likely I am making it far more difficult that it really is.

I received a request for more pictures of the structure. So I posted some.

The Lexan and vinyl are mounted and I took it out for a maiden voyage yesterday. The orange on the roof gives the job a nice touch.

I love being inside now. I wish I would have done this last year when I first got the blower.

Take a look.

That is a very nice Job Tony. I made mine out of .75x.75x.125 square tube and dark plexiglass (got a screamming deal on it) and self drilling and tapping screws. I used glass windows from a Lift buss for the front and rear window so I could put wipers on it and they work great! ( station wagon rear wiper moters from an old "K" car wagon.) I also used exhisting bolt holes so as to not drill into the tractor. It is great to get out of the weather but as you have found out it is louder so I just wear ear plugs or my MP3 player with muffs on over it:thumbsup: I am contumplating a total rebuild next summer but it does work so I dont know. Are you on rt 19 north of waterford? we travel that way quite a bit. I am on Route 8 1 mile south of Union City.

Yep, that is where I am.

Did you oversize your holes in the Plexiglas? If so, how much? Just curious.

And thanks for the compliment.

PACountryGuy I was so happy that you listed your suppliers. I have already been on the fabric website and have samples ordered.

Bowhunter,

My neighbor across the road found them and sent me there. I talked to them. Wonderful place to deal.
