I would say. Without the extra weight it tends to bounce when going over solid packed gravel or stone. In loose stuff, be it gravel or dirt, I didn't need the weight. So, if your 4wheeler has a slow gear or range, it should be fine.:thumbsup:

Here is a landplane grader I built earlier this year for my garden tractor works pretty well and is 48" wide and about 420 lbs.
