I personally think the axle is too light. I'd rather see at least a 5200 or 6000 lb axle under it. At 3000 lbs there isn't much room for stuff.

Yes, when I first saw it I thought that...

Seems like a reasonable idea, just seems like you could do something similar for less money. Also seems to me, having been on job sites for many years, that trailers often have more problems finding a place on the site. That means more work to get your tools where you need them to be because you park farther away. Tools become heavier the older your get has been my experience.

Of course if your work is not restricted by site size this may be the perfect thing. I use a heavy duty van so I can carry everything and get as close as possible to the work. If that were not a requirement I might well drive something else.

I would like the trailer but I hate Home Depot.
Any idea of where to buy one used ?

If you don't want to build a trailer. There should be a trailer dealer not 2 far away. You will get a lot more trailer for about the same amount of money. When I got my 18' at first I looked at used, very often the used trailer cost more than the new one that I bought.

I would think that an enclosed trailer set up with racks/boxes etc. to fit the exact need would be a better option. I find compartments restrictive due to size limitations. Also, one door to lock instead of many small ones. That's my two cents.
