Nice work. There's nothing like having your stuff secure and dry.

How did you cut the steel panels?

When I did some work on mine recently, I used a circular saw with an abrasive blade which worked OK. It was noisy, made a pretty good mess and I went through blades fairly quick, however it was fast and left a pretty decent edge.

I'd sure hate for anything to happen to my new tractor though. I'm awfully proud of that thing.

Most all cuts were made with tin snips. I did use an abrasive blade on a few parts but not much. As you stated, waaayyy too much noise and the edges were not as smooth.

We had sustained 50 mph winds all day friday and saturday. Not fun. It's typical though. In 4 years on this farm we've had 5 near miss tornadoes and one cross our property. All were small but still. I was standing in the barn watching the one that hit us while I was trying to hold on to the horses and saw my neighbors horse shelter fly by right before my hog pen took off. That was scary!
Really though, on the plains here the weather is nasty. over 50 mph winds are common. 60-100 mile gusts are real common too. We open the hatches to get under the house every time a storm comes through now.
I think uunless we take a direct hit from an f4 or bigger the house should hold up ok. It's had one direct hit from an f3 before. That;s when the steel roof got put on. I'd sure hate for anything to happen to my new tractor though. I'm awfully proud of that thing.

Sounds like you need an underground tractor "silo".
