this is a good explination. The guy speaking is a New Holland service tech. )</font>

And if I got the gist of that clip correctly...he was mainly saying tha you dont HAVE TO run "ON ROAD" ( highway diesel) fuel...that "off rroad" diesel..with the red dy in it ( which around here is commonly referred to as "AG" diesel ( farm diesel) was perfectly fine...AND...which I have stated that HERE...in THIS LOCAL... MY SUPPLIER has told me is IDENTICAL to the "home heating oil" he sells me. (#2 grade)

Since every farmer in the area uses the same basi furel as my home heating oil is...and have no smoke..no problems and ARENT tearing their engines down every year...I figure its "good enough for me"..regardless if whether the "sulfer content" is 40 PPM...or 3 lbs per 55 gallon. HERE it works A-OK..and I MAY decide to go to using it...when I get a heating oil delivery in september.

I think the point is that you should ask your heating oil company exactly what it is that they are selling you. I know the fuel that we use at Messicks delivers 5% biodiesel, and oddly enough I use the same company for my home heating oil who also sells me 5% bio-heating oil.
