Two homemade items here.

ry%3D400

1st is a 3pt receiver hitch....simply a copy of one sold commercially. Quite useful to move anything in the way of a trailer/etc.

2nd is a something I did come up with to roll off field fence wire. Piece of 2" square tubing (to go in the the receiver hitch hole ), then a piece of flat plate , and a 3' piece of 2" pipe welded at a 90 to the plate to act as a "toilet paper holder" for the roll of wire.

To load a roll, I remove the top link of the blue hitch, and raise the lift arms as high as they will go, this puts the 2" pipe about 15 degree angle from the ground, slide the roll on, and tilt it forward, reattach the top link pin.

Worth building if you have a lot of field wire to install. I attach the start of the roll to a post, and simply drive down the line of posts. Throw a crow bar or piece of 3/4 pipe in the roll at some point to keep it from turning, and use the tractor to tension the wire ( very gently ! )

Later modification was a piece of 3/4" plywood on top the metal plate at the base of the roll..the roll would hang on those square corners of the metal plate, so I cut the plywood in about a 24" circle and screwed it to the plate. Solved that problem.

Wish I had an attachment like that years ago when putting up and taking down wood lath snow fence.... Would have been real handy...
I don't think snow fence like that is used much anymore...

Thanks for sharing...

Ok Ill Bite.. what the TV in the tripod at the end of video. Looks to be interesting also..lol

You mean the obelisk? The pyramid thing with the mesh on it? It's meant for in gardens for climbing vines.

I'm curious what the garbage can upside down under it is for

Ok got ya...I have a water fountain that is supposed to be covered up during the winter. So I cover it with a large garbage container to give it the protection. As this looks ugly out in front of the house I made up this wooden structure to look something like a tree. The tree fits over the garbage container. I string xmas tree lights around the "tree" for the season. Here's a picture of it.IMG_4570 2.jpg

My original idea was to use the "obelisk" exactly as you mentioned during the summer time. Haven't actually done it yet though. See my reply to chopped re the winter use of the structure.

Ripper/hiller I built. Can change the angle of the foot by moving 1 bolt for deep ripping or tipped for hilling.

S-tine cultivator that started out as a 3 row 16' for large scale farming. My dad took a chunk out of it for his use and gave me the rest. Only bought steel for the rolling basket harrows. All other was re-used from original frame or scrap I had laying around. I use the snot out of this in my horse corrals all summer keeping the hard packed clay worked up and soft. Sides can fold down for an additional 42" coverage or folded up for close tight work.

Rolling harrow pics. Still haven't figured out a way to keep the wing harrows up without the use of tie-downs. Not a big deal I guess. Also with the wings up it adds more weight to the center chunk to dig deeper.
