Loader Home made forks for 1023e FEL

I'm building my FEL mount to mimick JD's quick attach system so I can utilize JD implements. Is there any way you could measure a few things for me? width between the pins on the FEL, height from top of pin to bottom pin? pin diameter, etc. I would greatly appreciate it

Rockshaft, I'll be interested to see how your fork design works. I take it that since it's hinged (at top??) then the bottom is floating. If so then I think you are on the right track with your logic. My forks are hooked at the top and pinned at the bottom so they won't float.

Yes it's a Curtis cab. It is one of the first production cabs for the 1-series. I had to wait a couple of months after purchasing the tractor to get it. Received it last December. Also had the heater installed. Came in handy while snowblowing. No more snowmobile suits, ear muffs, hat, and looking like a snowman for me. I really like the cab. I added front & rear cab lights. The only issue I have is where they placed the lower left window. It's not in a good location to see when installing either the loader or mower deck.

Finally got around to getting the forks project complete. Just thought I would post a couple photos... Let me know what you think Greg.

Rockshaft, Very nice fork system. You did a great job building it. I like the versatility of the design. You have given me a few ideas. Like you show in one of your pictures it works nice on brush. I've been using mine constantly. One thing I'm considering is installing a grapple arm to better "grab" brush and logs. Nice work.

I've got a grapple that is 90% finished that plugs into the top receiver- I'm sure a grapple will really help me clean up logs and such around the property.

I know this threads old. But I just want to say that that's a nice job you did there on those forks.

I'm just about done with the loader project I started. I added some factory Pony loader arms that came off a different tractor to a 1980's Sears GT 16 Garden tractor.

I've been thinking of making some forks for it too. And I like the way you did these and might do something similar.

I planned to take pics of the loader but lost my android phone which is my only camera. Hopefully I'll find it soon.

I was able to drive the Garden tractor again after it sat in the yard for 6 years. It was so nice to see it move on it's own power again.

I had plans to take it to the scrap yard one of these days. But decided to save it.

Dad bought it from a friend for $100.00 for me and my older brother when I was 11. "I'm 25 now" and I so missed driving it. I was so excited when I started it, put it into gear and drove it out of the shop. :cool2:
