Anybody made their own cab heaters?

If I should just use the search engine...tell me and delete this thread :)

I tried to make one for a skid steer cab. I used a small heater core from the parts store and built a heater box around it. The core gets good and hot but the fan I used does not put out enough air. I will need to rework it so that I can install a better fan then it should work just fine.

One can but heater cores and fan combinations but I would be scrounging through the car wreckers lots to see if they had had something that would work.:D :D

I am planning on building one as well. My plan is to use a computer fan (or two) since they:

- Are cheap
- Move a good amount of air
- Don't draw much juice

Check out this link or do a search on computer cooling systems as they have radiator cores that are all set up to accept these fans (they are made to cool high power CPUs)

Thanks for the ideas.... I've got a small metal fabrication shop...should be able to come up with something similar.
