It is frowned upon on the internet. But my wife has "candled " my ears which is a home remedy from Amish in Ohio that she learned.
It's basically a hollow candle that I lay my head in her lap and she holds a hollow candle in my ear for a bit that the heat (in theory) melts wax and the updraft pulls the wax up into the candle.
Yes. The internet says it's dangerous and hogwash. So don't do it just because I do!
I have seen the wax pulled into the candle though and can hear better whenever it has been done I think.

I use the hydrogen peroxide too. I have to lay down on the couch or floor because all that bubbling makes me dizzy and a little nauseous too. I mean flat out dizzy too.![]()
