Hi Rob,
Just got done reading all the activity posted on your Thumb thread.
I see I got honorable mention a few times, I’m flattered - so I thought I would get even, oops, I mean respond.

As promised, Larry fixed my electrical problem in a jiffy so the first thing we did is remove the box blade and mount the Nardi Backhoe on the tractor. I had told you guys before that the home made subframe was kinda a tight fit, but it usually takes me 10 or 15 minutes to get it on. With Larry helping, it only took about an hour.[color]

I beg your pardon, it took an hour & and half. Don't you remember I had my side completely pinned in 10 minuets while you were busy drinking coffee or something. I have no Idea what the problem was. (J/K)

As Rob mentioned one time in his post there was some difficulty getting juice to the starter on his Tractor. I offered to fly out from New Mexico to California and help out, and to upgrade the Fuse Block. Rob and I got to talking about another project I had in mind so we got together in a collaborative effort. I fix his tractor and he does some (allot) of machining for me (more on that it a new amazing thread).. Well turns out I got the tractor diagnosed and fixed within 9 minuets. So we had plenty of time to analyze his new articulating thumb creation.

After we got Rob's Hoe attached with my help:rolleyes: I know he could not wait to test out his new articulating thumb. I secretly thought I was going to have to pull off a "Tractor Hi Jack" in order to get any seat time. Rob was not able to use his machine for over SIX weeks! He was so thrilled we got his tractor starting again. He showed his appreciation by LETTING ME TRY EVERYTHING OUT FIRST! Now Rob is really my Hero, Friend and Big Brother, suffice to say I have allot of respect for him. He must have really trusted me to tear into his tractor wiring and let me test drive his tractor and all the attachments he had fabricated. I sure hope everyone remembers his Hydraulic Box Blade project, Dual FEL Grapples, Rear remotes, and TTT just to name a few.

Let there be no doubt the thumb is very smooth in operation and fully adjustable to the task at hand. There is no roll or anything to that effect in it’s operation. Rob can pick up an egg without cracking it!

We both had a great time and are so thankful we had the opportunity to meet in person. Please look forward to a new and amazing project that Rob is working on for me as we speak. (That is if I can get him off the golf course);)

Mornin Larry,
Great post along with a great thread ! I enjoyed the whole story, and it was a great one !

Im really hoping that Rob gives you more than 9 minutes of machining time on this next project ! ;) You fixed it too fast ! :) You could have made it look a little more difficult ! :)

Larry,

Helping each other out is what it's all about. I really enjoyed reading that you were able to help out Rob and that the two of you are going to work on a project together. Both of you have had some very creative and interesting projects on your own, I can only guess what the combined skills of you both will come up with!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for adding the kind words to this thread. I have to say if you think my mechanical stuff is cool, you guys should see all the stuff Larry has built, like Eddie refers to. My friends think some of my stuff is out of this world, but after meeting Larry, I know he is from Mars or something. He offered to pay me in "Gugliols" .. I think it's a Martian denomination of money.:)

What? ... did you leave one of those "spy cams" at my place or something? LOL ... Shees, no privacy.
