Homemade Sprayer Nozzle question

Buy a 15 or 25 gallon sprayer mount on skid. Then get 55 gallon barrel mount on another skid with legs that are high enough to fill small sprayer. Take that to the feild. That gives you fast refills at the location to speed up spraying. It is easier to mix the right amount and easier to flush sprayer when finished spraying.

I realize this thread is old now, but just in case someone decides to re-read it, I'll post the one I built. Mine is made from a 30gal herbicide drum. I purchased the TeeJet 110003 110deg fan nozzles, shutoffs with screens, pressure regulator, hose and nozzle bodies/clamps. Everything else I had laying around. Total cost was about $100.00.

It will spray all day at 40psi with the 2.5 gpm electric diaphragm pump and never gives me fits. I spray a 1.25 acre yard, 2 gardens (1 acre both) and friends yards when asked. This is my 3rd season on it. Nozzles are 20" spaced and run at 20" off the ground. Gives me 9ft coverage in a single pass.

I have been a member for about 6 years, and I honestly, forgot about it! I remembered monitoring a "tractor" site before but couldn't remember which one!!

So....I'll reintroduce myself....."Hi, I am Brian and I like tractors!!" ;)

Great explanation and I just went through the same process. I'm using TeeJet 8003 which I think is 3oz/minute and an 80 degree fan vs yours which is 110 degree with the same flow(at same PSI which is also 40). I used recycled 55 gal drums and a 12 x 20" spacing on the nozzles for 20'. I've got quite a bit more in mine but still less than the comparable agrispray units. I also wouldn't hesitate(now), to rig up another one especially if I had some of the parts to begin with. I went with a basic 2,4D product, Crossbow was $170/2.5 gal.

Brian - looks like a really neat sprayer. Is there any chance you made up a parts diagram, etc.?
