Well its been awhile since i have posted anything so here is an update for those that are still interested.

Everyone is familiar with the go so here is the whoaa!!!
The rotors are from the front of a 2000 ram 1500 4x4 and the calipers are from the rear of a 2004 impala. Made the bracket and presto disc brake conversion.

I ran into some problems with the addition of the tcase. it required me to rotate the pinion down to align with the output of the tcase. This caused the calipers to rotate up and put the hose bolts right into the frame. so i indented the frame and plated the inside of it. I am also going to gusset the corners top and bottom with some 1/8" plate.

I also got the dash made. Put the gauges and switches in it and also got everything wired up.

Got the battery mount made and also got the electronics mounted. I need to add a brace for the battery tray.

Got the power steering pump put on and made a couple hoses for it.

Also got the clutch hooked up and master cylinder mounted and both pedals..

I couldn't help but notice the welding cart in the second picture. It looks like it's very handy. Did you build it yourself?

Lookin' good cranker. I sure admire your welding skill.

I'm always amused the way TBNers are looking at the other guys's tools in the background of photos. I swear you could post a picture of a bikini clad young lady and everyone would go gaga over the tools behind her. :D

I just found this thread and went through and read every page from the beginning. Great work! It's great to watch the progress plus I am envious of your work space.

The reason for the lady is to give a reference by which to judge the tools in the background...

"That must be about a 14 inch wrench there just below shoulder height. Did you buy that at TSC?"

Thanks travel. I have been welding for a while and really enjoy it. I am very lucky to have a wife that understands it take nice equipment to make things. I got a my first tig welder about a year ago and have been jacked about it ever since.

Thanks Dmace it was one of the main reasons that i wanted to get this property when we relocated 5 yrs ago. Its 20 x 50 plus has two double garages. So no cars in the shop unless its getting fixed.

I recently read an article about how the Steiger Tractor came about. They couldn't buy what they wanted. So they built it.
You could be starting something big here. I can see you had a real vision about what you want the end result to be. Great workmanship!
I didn't see the original post and I was wondering what you will use it for.
For myself it looks like it would make a fantastic machine for harvesting choice logs.
I have copied you pics and will be following your progress please keep posting.

Thanks Toffy. One of its primary uses will be wood harvesting. It will also see some light material moving and also snow removal once i get the fel built. You are correct i did have a very specific picture in my head when i started to build it. That has dictated where some of the things were placed and also how they were made..

Thanks Crank

Well its been a while since my last update so here it goes.

I managed to get it out after the snow melted and took it around the block a few times. It runs great and the power steering sure is nice. I have managed to get the hydraulic pump mount made and the pulley also. It will use the front crank pulley and run a serp belt.
I have got the arms made and the first two cylinders mounted. I am going to start on some sheet metal soon since i ran out of money for cylinders. I also need to make some kind of quick attachment for the bucket.

Thanks cranker
