Homestead Implements Grapple

I have not heard of a lot of the brands discussed here on TBN. My choices boiled down to Land Pride and ANBO. About the time I got ready to purchase - ANBO had financial difficulties. I bought the Land Pride SGC1560. It's a real BRUTE. 60" and 820 pounds. I had the dealer install everything. WR Long 3rd function valve and grapple. That all happened six years ago. I've never had a reason to change out the grapple for the bucket. Main uses - pick and move LARGE rocks and massive sections of pine tree trunk.

Around here - a good time to be ordering implements. The ground is soft, soggy and any operations out on my property creates massive ruts.

Ordered the homestead 60" grapple last week.

I'm also considering a grapple. I like how the Homestead brush grapple and really like how it stands up for storage. Will the Wicked 55 stand up on its own? I keep the implements in my shop so ease of storage and being compact is important as well as product quality.

Ordered the homestead 60" grapple last week.
Grapple arrived Friday, several weeks later than expected. A truck is scheduled for Monday to pick it back up and and return to the factory so they can correct all the quality issues. I never even hooked it to the tractor hydraulics!
I'm going to give them some time to correct things before I hit them too hard, but damn! Late and poor quality control, by time I get an acceptable grapple from them, we are nearing EA lead time.

Yet on their website IIRC, they were crowing about their high quality, made in USA schtick.

I love my Homestead Implements root grapple, I have found zero issues. But I know implements manufacturers have long order lists to fullfill, so maybe their QC been a little laxed due to it?

How are you making out with Homestead fixing your grapple? What kind of issues did you have? I’ve been emailing them about one and would like to hear how they treated you.

Note that I learned today their lead time is up to 10 weeks now. Was 8 last I spoke with them. In case others are looking too.

Don’t pick on Norsky! He’s helping me pick out a tractor and I need him clear headed.
