A lot of good design in a Ridgeline. I think they still need to make it a bit more rugged looking. Truck owners have a look in mind and like gobs of power. Honda is either not listening or shooting for a different buyer. I think a selection of tire /wheel packages along a more sporty sounding engine would be a good start.

Ridgeline looks nice, but I always viewed that as an El Camino type vehicle. Almost a truck, but not quite there.

I like the idea of having a truck, but once I sat down and evaluated needs and uses, I find that a large 4wd SUV as a daily drive is better suited for me, with a 12' trailer on stand by for weekend warrior projects.

I don't like Asian cars never have AND have only owned one in my entire life but working on cars for a lifetime I will tell you that Honda/Acura is a really good product.

The only thing that Ford and Chev and Dodge truck owners can agree on is that a Honda Ridgeline is not a real truck!

Sure, it's a cute little suburban family hauling thing.....but, a truck? It might haul my firewood cutting equipment but to haul a load of wood with all that equipment...no. My wife could drive all my saws to and from the job while the wood is carried by a real truck.

One of my friends lives about 12 miles up a dirt gravel road outside Ukiah...

He has over 250,000 miles on a Honda CRV with 4wd...

I was surprised he was driving a Honda, especially with the dirt/gravel roads but he said the CRV has been nothing short of impressive...

His Mom is near San Diego and he takes care of her alternate weekends so lots of driving from North CA to San Diego and back...

I realize a CRV is anything but a truck... but he says it has been far more economical than any truck he owned and never had the issues his two diesel trucks had... he doesn't tow anything with the CRV but it is used like a truck as in packed to the roof...

Being a Honda, I'm sure it is comfortable, quiet and super dependable. I've yet to see one with E-rated tires on it though, and that's essential for those of us who drive a lot of dirt roads.

But unless I can fit my Yamaha Kodiak in the back and close the tailgate, I consider it nothing than an car missing a trunk lid. And that goes for any of the brands...Ford, Chevy, Toyota, etc.

I thought that’s what the cab is for? There’s perks to having a work truck.
