I've been looking at the Ridgelines for the last couple of years also. I would REALLY like to get a 2014 GMC K-1500 Z-71, to celebrate 40 years since buying my first new truck. I just have reservations about the drop cylinders.
I did some checking on the Tundra's. And while they have high ratings, I guess I'm old enough, that I see a 50's vintage Studebaker in the bodystyle.
Dodge would be second choice under the GMC. They also have drop cylinders, and not sure I like the idea of the self adjusting air suspension.
Ford is not even in the equation.. Had 2, no more..., no comment....
This vehicle will be my "car", and it will probably be my last new one. I've got 3 other trucks to do hauling, and towing. Something with a nice ride, and decent mileage, but large enough to haul a little something in the bed, with a cap on. Bags of feed in nasty weather, etc... A place to throw my "stuff", and not clutter up the front seat. Big enough to pull the 2H bumper pull. But reckon' I could use the dually for that.
Everything I see has mileage ratings of 21 MPG, needing dropped cylnders, this and that... Criminy..., I get that on my old '96 Z-71, with the 350, and it has 231,000 miles on it. Yup, I drive them until they have pups...
Decisions, decisions...
