Hooking Hydraulic lines up on Backhoe

Like you and others stated, the pressure on the outriggers are the source of the problem.

Temperature rise alone can do it too.

If you raise the outriggers all the way (because the BH is on blocks or a stand) you should tie them together otherwise they will drift downwards. They probably drift up too if you leave the BH's weight on them. According to my dealer the largest difference between the previous Ansung made BH and the current one is the new one has locks to keep the stabilizers up.

So you basically have no weight on the outriggers? They are only there to stop an unintentional tip over?

Basically. I raise mine high enough to disconnect the mounting pins out of the cradle, then to set the main body on blocks. Pull the ORs up just enough to settle the weight on the blocks, but leave them down to avoid tipping.

Looked at it yesterday though and because the ground is so soft from way too much rain, the blocks have settled into the ground and the whole thing is tilted. Going to be a lot of fun to connect next time. Guess I need a wider/longer 2x under the blocks to distribute the weight better.

If I had a detachable backhoe I'd contemplate making a dedicated concrete pad for storing it . My simple snowplow that goes on the front of my truck..... If I take it off anywhere other than level concrete, I have a heck of a time putting it back on.

Absolutely, that's the plan. We're getting an area that's dedicated to storing the backhoe when we take it off. For the most part, we'll leave it on. its not too terrible once you get it figured out, but the storing of it makes all the difference when reattaching it.

So, here's what I did for this:

https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums...pressure-releaser.html?highlight=#post4424377

It's just a tee with a valve that connects my lines together when the hoe is off the tractor. It is NOT pressure rated (but you could make one that is, of course). It's only for relieving residual pressure in the lines from temp swings and such.

YMMV, implement at your own risk. I was tired of tearing my hair out with the pressure locked hoses but this works for me.

I love this idea. Simple and probably inexpensive. I'm assuming you can release the pressure from the tee prior to hook up and makes it so much easier. I'm reading through the thread you posted.

That's why I store mine on a wood block. I sit it down on it, the stabilizer legs just rest on the ground and add stability.

Temperature does it too.

Yeah, it's worse to me. I can do things to relieve pressure when uncoupling. I can't control temperature......
